This is a pedigree for MILK! We reserved a kid from this cross specifically for improving milk and butterfat production in our herd. Oldesouth Farm was the perfect choice to bring in extraordinary milk genetics without sacrificing structure and conformation for the show ring! EVERY doe in Solar Flare's 4 generation pedigree has been in the ADGA and/or AGS Breed Leader Top Ten at some point in their lives and has a "Very Good" or "Excellent" linear appraisal final score and udder rating.
Solar Flare's dam, ARMCH SGCH NC Promisedland SIA Sunra 3*M VEVE 89 was in the Top Ten in AGS Breed Leaders in 2013 and 2014 for butterfat. On her 2014 lactation, she was milked 305 days for a total of 914 lbs milk, 74 lbs butterfat, 36 lbs protein. On several of her milk tests, Sunra's butterfat has been tested at 9.9%! Sunra is also an ADGA Elite Doe. Sunra's daughter, SGCH NC Promisedland BHP Scandal 4*M 5*D was also in the Top Ten AGS Breed Leaders in Butterfat for 2013 and 2014.
